Guys, summer is officially here (although, it took its time this year!) and our summer tours are in full swing, including our Monza tour! This year we have an exciting add-on to this tour, for the complete discovery of Monza!

We are collaborating with the City Council of Monza (Comune di Monza) to offer tickets to the Musei Civici di Monza with every ticket purchased, so you can discover even more about this charming city that sits just outside Milan. It may be most famous for the Formula 1 racetrack within Monza Park, but it has a long and rich history, originally being an industrial zone, and contains many quiet and pretty streets as well as the charming city centre.

We started this tours one year ago, last summer after one of the participants, Laura, who had done a couple of XMilan quizzes in Milan insisted that Monza would be a great area to have one of our tours!

We loved the idea and explained to her that it needed to be curated by locals. As she was a local and lived in Monza, we asked her if she wanted to do the research and come up with the route for the tour, which she agreed to do. And so, our Monza tour quiz was born!

So, Laura set to work to build the tour, she discovered things about her own city she didn’t even know! It's always lovely to see a city, but without the history and stories, the sights can really lose their interest, meaning and value, past being good for a cool photo. The beauty of our tours is it brings tiny, unknown corners of the city to life, as well as introducing and education all our participants to a city, even their own city! It's about going above and beyond giving you the places everyone already knows, we want to take initiative and discover new places and now Laura is our main tour guide for Monza!

We host the Monza tours during the summer months as this is when Monza really comes to life. It is a nice city to do a day trip to out of Milan with our friends and family, to spend within the huge park (the largest walled park in Europe!), as you see people wondering, biking, skating, sometimes even horse riding around! It’s a great option to feel like our out of a city without being too far away or hard to get to, and it’s really a great place to relax, rejuvenate and get some fresh air! Inside the park alone are some pretty amazing buildings and works of art, and you move past it into the city, you will be surprised about the number of things such a small town has to offer.
